Former DTP first lady Shawnna lets the world that she ain’t dead yet with her new mixtape She’s Alive. Hosted by her fellow Chicagoan DJ Pharris, the 21-track project (including the bonus cuts) acts as a declaration of the second-generation artist’s resiliency, proving that she can still flourish without the major co-sign she once enjoyed.

“I chose She’s Alive because in the music industry, I wanted them and my fans to know that I am still here,” Shawnna said of the project. “I wanted the mixtape to be original music and a gang of remixes that I call ‘She Mixes,’ meaning I will kill you on your own track.”

The tape is precursor to Shawnna’s forthcoming, as-yet-untitled EP, which she plans to release next month.
