Hit-Boy freestyles over Slum Village’s “Selfish” | New Music

Hit-Boy, the man responsible for one the biggest hip-hop records of 2012 “N*ggas In Paris”, flexes his lyrical muscles on new freestyle.

Spitting over the Slum Village track “Selfish”, which originally featured John Legend and Kanye West (who also produced it), the young California hailing producer and rapper further adds to his stock as a solid emcee.

Signed to Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music, his come up is similar to that of his label boss. Starting as a producer and then working towards a rap career, Hit-Boy’s flow and cocky subject matters are very reminiscent of early ‘Ye.

“All these n*ggas music gave me deja vu/ I am all about my cream like Raekwon crew/ Rapping over my own shit, they say I’m ‘Ye times two,” the ‘Clique’ producer even acknowledges the comparisons to Yeezy in this freestyle.

Check out the ‘Selfish’ freestyle below.

Hit-Boy released his own mixtape to critical acclaim back in August titled HITstory. An entire 11-track project featuring him spitting bars, the California native proved he’s definitely one to watch.
