You know when a title of the song couldn’t be more accurate? This is one of those times. As a reminder that you should pick up his new LP, Let It Go (one listen and you’ll be waving the wallet, I promise you) Detroit-bred beatsmith House Shoes liberates the gully “Dirt” cut, featuring The Alchemist and Oh No, a.k.a. Greneberg, and Roc Marciano, a.k.a. Marcberg, who all form the Greneberg outfit (get it?).
To no one’s surprise, all three guests get super lyrical over HS’ antique instrumental. Oh No commences the discourse with a direct verse, Alc toys with the wordplay, putting the majority of full-time emcees to shame, while Roc Marci delivers yet another of those calm-and-collected threats, boasting “I’m not the G to F with/ Most would agree with my assessment.”
As if this track alone isn’t persuasion enough, Let It Go also features contributions from Danny Brown, Nottz, Black Milk and the like. Pick it up on iTunes.
