Jacob Banks – “Dear Simone” | New Music

Verse December 13, 2012 New Music, Soul/R&B/Alt Comments

If you picked up the latest issue of Music Week, you would already know how I feel about Jacob Banks (for those that didn’t, don’t worry I’ve placed a scan at the bottom of the post). After delivering the stirring “Kids On The Corner“, the impressive 21 year soul singer on the rise brings us the gut wrenchingly emotive “Dear Simone” from his forthcoming debut EP The Monologue.

I’m not even going to say too much about the song, as the proof of this kid’s talent and songwriting prowess is just in the listening. Press play below.

Pardon my language… but Jacob Banks is a MUTHAFUCKIN’ BADMAN! (Sorry Mum and our more sensitive readers).

Me on Jacob Banks for Music Week’s The Tastemaker’s segment.
