Jay Rock – ‘YOLA’ (Prod. Dave Free) | New Music

Andy Bustard August 14, 2012 Hip Hop, New Music Comments

“I’ve been gone for a minute but I’m back in this bitch,” Jay Rock accurately observes on his latest track, “YOLA” – his first release in nearly three months, following his contribution to Treacherous RecordsThe Mint Room compilation. Over an itching instrumental, courtesy of TDE President Dave Free, digi+phonics, the Watts native spits with that brutish intensity we’ve become accustomed to.

The freebie comes as Tuesday’s installment in #TDEFamAppreciationWeek. I’m not quite sure what that’s all about, but if it means a week’s worth of new Black Hippy material, then you won’t hear be hearing any complaints out of me. Stream and download Jay’s new offering below.
