Having first appeared on our radar with his standout track “Fade” — taken from his Cheeky Bastard EP — homegrown talent Jordan James (you’re forgiven for thinking he was American; I thought so too at first) returns with his latest offering, “Wasn’t Expecting This.”
Although not quite as strong as “Fade” and its eclectic sounds that first caught our attention, the track is definitely worth listening to. Giving an insight into the Londoner’s diversity, both in his tone and voice as well as in the genre of his offerings in general, the Versechild-produced track hints jazz, D&B and all that’s in between.
