Kanye West‘s “Theraflu” just got a little more monstrous today with the CDQ, tag-less version of the track hitting the net. There was some confusion early on regarding who the song was for and even the features themselves (I guess a DJ’s rant counts as a guest appearance these days), but the record’s producer Hit-Boy helped cleared the air.
In an interview with MTV, the Surf Club beatsmith revealed that “Theraflu” was originally intended for DJ Khaled, until he passed the audio onto Kanye who deemed it an “urgent record” and subsequently completed the track himself. While the G.O.O.D. Music takeover is in effect with the release of “Mercy“, “Theraflu” looks to land on Mr. West’s next debut album instead.
