Ke$ha and Taylor Gang get together for the official remix to the popstar’s single “Die Young,” joined by Dr Luke‘s latest prodigy, Becky G. The original track, set to appear on Ke$ha’s upcoming album Warrior, made it into the US Top 5, and this remix is basically a logical extension of that single’s upbeat, ‘make the most of it while we’re here’ themes.
Most of those involved do at least sound like they’re enjoying it, and although I’m not exactly jumping with joy (does someone really rap “cray-cray”?), it’s nice to hear Wiz Khalifa and Juicy J deliver over bouncy, barbie-pop production. Wiz sounds particularly comfortable over this sort of club-pop beat, although we shouldn’t be too surprised. Before we forget, the track he blew up on was pretty much just him vibing to a big, bouncy Stargate beat.
