Kendrick Lamar – ‘good kid, m.A.A.d city’ (Chopped & Screwed by Slim K) [Mixtape] | Free download

Before this came out, I was wondering how long it would take for someone to get their hands on Kendrick Lamar‘s new album and give it the chopped and screwed treatment.

Whilst I’m not personally that bothered about hearing a slowed-down version of a great conceptual project, it’s good to see that Slim K, one of Houston’s true chop and screw talents, has come through with a rework. The prolific DJ has set his purple-tinted sights on the top this year with a prolific output, taking on everything from A$AP Mob‘s Lords never Worry to RnB projects by The Weeknd, JMSN and Frank Ocean and now he’s decided to transform what is turning out to be 2012′s biggest hip hop project.

Having heard Slim K’s excellent eight-minute version of “Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe”, I’m keen to hear how tracks like “Swimming Pools (Drank)” and “Poetic Justice” sound laced with the syrup. Have a look at his full catalogue here and check out his latest effort below:
