Kendrick Lamar x Star Slinger – “Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe (Re-fix)” | New Music

Kendrick Lamar’s “Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe“, one of the best moments on good kid, m.A.A.d city,  is a track that probably never needs to be remixed.

Try telling that to Star Slinger, a home-grown, Manchester-based producer who takes his influences, and many of his remixes, from the world of U.S hip hop. Star Slinger’s a producer with a proven track record when it comes to turning sad sound-beds into glistening sunbeds.
He’s previously done a great job adding glitter to  melancholy tracks such as Gold Panda’s “Marriage” and Drake‘s “Over My Dead Body“, without taking anything away from the original compositions. The trick is retaining the emotion, and Kendrick’s track is a sterner test in that respect. Have a listen to Kendrick remixed below, and let us know if you think the Brit pulls it off:
