I know, I know. Before you even pressed play on this track, your eyes rolled as the thought of “not another ‘Rack City’” came into your head. But cut the preconceptions; Kirko Bangz and Tyga‘s new collaboration, “Nasty N*gga”, is actually pretty tight.
Opting out of the Lex Luger-meets-Diplo sound that seems to be the formula for a quick hit (and a quick buck) these days, the pair of newcomers coast over a slow and cruising ’90s-esque groove – one that, laced with blues riffs, tailors to both the traditional sounds of both the West Coast and the Dirrty South.
This number will land on Kirko Bangz’s Procrastination Kills 4 mixtape, due out August 20th. Give it a listen below.
