New York-based emcee Kris Kasanova has been forging a name for himself for some time now with two projects — Long Way Home and =Warpaint= — already under his belt.
The emcee just opened for The Smoker’s Club Tour stop in Greensboro, North Carolina, and has also been opening up for artists like Kendrick Lamar, Ab-Soul, Nipsey Hussle. Kasanova is set to release his new project 24K this September and here’s just a taste of what we can expect from the album in the form of “Shut Em Down.”
For the bass-booming, Ibe-produced track, Kasanova recruits Inglewood emcee Skeme and Seattle-based Jarv Dee for a song that will be a favorite of mine.
