A new freebie from Lil Wayne just surfaced on the Internets and the song, entitled “Awkward”, can be found on DJ Stevie J‘s The Appreciation Vol.5 tape, out today.
The Jahlil Beats and Key Wayne-produced track gives Weezy a chance to sing about his awkward encounters with women, as he croons “I know we ain’t got much in common so we don’t do that much talking, and sometimes it feels so awkward”, and admits he prefers to sidestep conversation and head straight to the…bathroom. It’s pretty awkward listening and probably another reason for Weezy to slip into the Bad (Rap) Sex awards but there’s something about the production that is borderline musical, and surprisingly catchy.
