Ludacris f/ Kelly Rowland – “Representin” | New Music

Sam Gould September 24, 2012 Hip Hop, Music, New Music Comments

The second release from his upcoming album Ludaversal, Ludacris is back with a mid-tempo banger entitled “Representin,” which has Cris team up with the gorgeous Kelly Rowland.

Following Rowland’smajor commercial success with another very similar sounding hip-hop collaboration, “Motivation,” this collaboration shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise; both tracks were produced by Jim Jonsin, although this time the Grammy Award winning producer has worked with singer-songwriter Rico Love to craft a seductive bass-driven beat, made all the more entrancing by the addition of slow guitars and soft piano keys.

Ludacris, for his part, sounds good at this pace, even if the “ayyys” and the trademark “all-right, all-right, all-right” adlibs seem a bit redundant. Kelly is the real star here, her voice providing the perfect vehicle for this rather smoother Ludacris sound. Check it out below:
