Mariah Carey has been one of President Obama‘s most vocal supporters from within the music world during his successful re-election campaign. On Monday she turned out to support First Lady Michelle at a rally in North Carolina, and yesterday she was determined to be seen casting her Democratic vote at at a polling station (check out the photo).

Earlier this summer Mariah even performed an original song entitled “Bring It On Home” at an Obama fundraiser. Celebrating the President’s re-election, now the studio version of the track has been released courtesy of Jermaine Dupri. If it began life as a declaration of faith, “Bring It On Home” now plays like a smooth exultation; have a listen below:

Mariah also took to Twitter to share her delight in today’s news:

Congratulations to our beloved President Barack Obama, our spectacular First Lady Michelle Obama & the adorable Malia & Sasha. Welove you!
