Having stuck by her for many years, the lovely Marsha Ambrosius awarded her loyal fanbase with her debut album Late Nights & Early Mornings in March of 2011. The LP – which would go on to enter the US album charts at number two – spawned soon-to-be classics like “Hope She Cheats On You (With A Basketball Player)”, “Lose Myself” (written by Lauryn Hill) and the breath taking “Far Away”.

Now, just over a year later, both her fans and music lovers alike are clamouring for an all new album – details of which she exclusively revealed to Soulculture a few days ago.

Down in The Big Easy this weekend, the Floetry songstress gave the Essence Music Festival faithful a treat when she performed the title track from her highly anticipated forthcoming long player, Friends & Lovers.

Check out the footage of Miss Ambrosius performing her new song below and, as always, keep it locked to SC for more Essence Music Festival footage.
