Following the events of the heartbreaking tragedy at Sandy Hook elementary school in Connecticut where 20 children and six adults died, and in light of the tragedy singer Mike Posner has penned his thoughts and made them into a song called “Heaven,” dedicated to the families of the victims involved.

He took to Twitter with a small message about the song saying, “I wanted to do SOMETHING for the victims’ families. I wrote this song because I didn’t know what else to do. Today makes no sense…God has blessed me with this gift and it felt wrong not to share it. I hope this song finds its way to proper ear.”

The uplifting and simple song attempts a more positive outlook on the grim situation, talking of how he still sees the good in people, and how although this might not make much sense now it might make more sense in heaven.
