Alc’s skewed samples and blunted rhythms are more than prevalent – and potent – on this free album, while Damier, albeit the high levels of intoxication, steps his rap game up and, subsequently, steps out of the “weed rapper” zone. This dude can really rap.
The contributions – which are outstanding, yet entirely organic – come from Tyler, The Creator, SpaceGhostPurrp, Smoke DZA, Freddie Gibbs and Prodigy, in addition to the aforementioned trio of Earl, Bam Bam and Vince, simply add an official liner note to the quality of No Idols.
