Following their commercially viable (and successful to some extent, with both the “Good Times” and “Green Light” singles peaking at the No. 1 spot in the charts, respectively) yet critically panned 2010 album, Winner Stays On, one of Grime’s greatest groups, Roll Deep, return with a brand new mixtape entitled No Comment Star.
Running with a sound built on contributions from both in-house and wider producers, including Thomas Mellor, Virgo and founding member, Scratchy, Roll Deep deliver a brief, yet solid, nine-track project that marks their first release in two years, and a return to those fundamentals that have grown their staple brand this past decade.
And why the name “No Comment Star” you ask? It’s a response to the numerous questions thrown at them in recent times; who’s in the group? Are you going Pop? Where’s Wiley!?
