Just when we thought 2011′s Zero Heroes, with its contributions from J.Cole, Kendrick Lamar and Just Blaze, was XV‘s magnum opus – mixtape-wise – the Squarian rapper delivers his latest and perhaps greatest free project today with Popular Culture.
A 17-track project, of which we’ve been offered samples of with select cuts like “Andy Warhol” featuring Slim The Mobster and the ScHoolboy Q-assisted “AaaHH! Real Monsters“, this new tape gathers further contributions from a cast including B.o.B., Xaphoon Jones and Emilio Rojas to help cement Vizzy’s status as growing hip-hop favourite – outside of indie circles.
Stream and download Popular Culture below. XV’s debut album The Kid With The Green Backpack is on its way… we hope.
