Paigey Cakey x Lady Leshurr – “Mark My Words” | Music Video

With her mixtape The First Paige due to drop this Friday (7th December), Hackney-born emcee and professional actress Paigey Cakey drops a short visual for “Mark My Words”, her latest freestyle collaboration with Birmingham’s very own Lady Leshurr.

These two collaborated in the past for Leshurr’s “LYFR” (Lesh’s take on Drake and Wayne’s “HYFR”), one of the best moments on her August release L YEAH!, and the two rappers, small in stature but lyrically fierce, go in again for the duration of this short track. Not quite so sure about the Digi Dan-directed visual, which sees Paige wield a backpack and a samurai sword, but maybe it’s a smart reference to Attack The Block, Dan Cornish’s comedy-horror flick, which the emcee/actress appeared in last year.
