After completing his Art Dealer Chic trilogy of free EPs and guesting on what may be the song of the season alongside Nas and Swizz Beatz on “Summer On Smash,” celebrated neo-soul purveyor Miguel has announced the release of Kaleidoscope Dream, the much-anticipated follow-up to his 2010 debut All I Want Is You, and offers up a preview of the new album.
According to the good folks at SPIN, who premiered the first preview, the L.A.-born singer’s sophomore set will be rolled out in three parts: first with two three-song EPs entitled, respectively, Kaleidoscope Dream: Water Preview (which contains the full version of “Adorn,” first previewed on Vol. 1 of Art Dealer Chic) and Kaleidoscope Dream: Air Preview, and then with the full-length Kaleidoscope Dream LP which will contain the content from the EPs plus an additional five songs. Producers on the project include Salaam Remi, Jerry Wonda, and Pop & Oak.
The first preview EP will be available on iTunes July 31st, but Miguel has made it available for immediate streaming. The second preview will be available September 11th, with the full album hitting iTunes and store shelves October 2nd.
