Rihanna – “Stay” (MeLo-X Remix) | New Music

When he’s not busy crafting spectacular collaborative albums with R&B/soul talent Jesse Boykins III, SoulCulture certified producer and rapper MeLo-X spends his time creating dope remixes from the melting pot of musical sounds that come his way.

In early October we heard him add some spacey synths and extra textures to fellow New Yorker Kilo Kish‘s “Navy“; now we have his take on a track made famous by a somewhat better known female vocalist, Rihanna. The “She’s Finally #1 Bitch MeLo-x Godmix” of the superstar’s Unapologetic single “Stay” plays with the rhythms of the original ballad, leading to almost complete deconstruction by the 2.50 mark, and taking us on an exciting and unpredictable musical journey.
