Rita Ora gets love from fellow Roc Nation diamond-thrower J. Cole on “Love And War,” a declaration of the British pop princess’ desire to live in peace and stop quarreling with her significant other.
Like most of Ora’s songs, this one has a very appetizing groove, and the breakdown at the end that leaves us with nothing but the delicate piano keys above that stirring violin is pretty dope. I would’ve loved a 16 from light-skinned Jermaine (hell, I would’ve settled for an 8), but I can’t always get what I want.
Rita’s debut set ORA drops on August 27th (unless you’re in Ireland, where it’s already out). Preview the album on iTunes.
