Roc Marciano‘s sophomore full-length Reloaded comes on November 13th and every day he’s bringing new lyrical fire to get us ready. The majority of Reloaded will be self-produced solo work, but here’s one of only two collaborations on the album, the slow-but-heavy “Nine Spray“.
Ray West is responsible for the production, and he strips things down to the bone, creating an atmosphere so chillingly clear that you can hear the gunshots slicing through the cold air. As drums kick and slow guitars loop ominously, Roc and his partner Ka take things back to the ’90s with their vintage gangster raps. I haven’t heard much from Ka before but he’s got that killer flow here.
