Ruben Studdard x K. Michelle – “Rock Witcha” | New Music

Connie Tang December 10, 2011 New Music, Soul/R&B/Alt Comments

Grammy-nominated R&B singer Ruben Studdard is gearing to release his fifth studio album, Letters From Birmingham, slated for release in March 2012 via Shanachie Entertainment. To give fans a taste of what to expect from the upcoming LP, he releases his lead single “Rock Witcha.” The song is a remake of Bobby Brown‘s 1989 classic, and the “Velvet Teddy Bear” is joined by K. Michelle on the background vocals.

With Letters From Birmingham, Ruben wanted to showcase his artistry and ability to make timeless R&B music. “I hope people will hear it and say gosh these are great songs,” he says. “I wanted to make an album that you could put in and not take off and it be on from start to finish… I think we did that.”
