The second we heard the new Sade single we knew the beat was one that every rapper would love to jump on.
And today on twitter Dj Green Lantern unveiled Brooklyn rapper Maino‘s Unofficial remix.

    I heard about this “remix” before actually reading this post and was talking about it with one of my best friends, who’s also a DJ. We both agree the same, that Sade is a stand alone artist. She’s earned enough credibility to continue to do things like she has always done.

    I’m not all that familiar w/ who Maino is, although I do have much respect for DJ Green Lantern. This is one track I would have to pass up on.

    I think it’s a mixed blessing for someone like Sade to attract too much attention from the Hip Hop community. Although they’ve had dalliance with aspects of Hip-Hop before they have got on well enough as a band without too much outside influence from those quarters. They’ve always managed to evolve without jumping on any particular bandwagon. As someone commented on the original post, Sade is a stand-alone act and there is no necessity for Nas or any other rapper’s input regardless of how lyrically blessed they are. Just my two pence…
