As if Shabazz Palaces‘ Black Up number “Swerve” wasn’t eccentrically infectious enough, Colorado-based three-piece collective Signal Path throw an even denser veil on the original sound.
Infusing Knife Knights‘ initial production with an assembly of synths and what can only be described as sounds a calculator would make, Signal Path‘s remix echoes from their drum and bass roots and makes for a wholesomely dizzying listen.
The track features on the trio’s recently released (and inventively titled) MixtaEP EP, which also features reinterpretations of The Roots, Skrillex and A$AP Rocky. An eclectic pallet to say the least.
As recently reported, Shabazz Palaces will be heading to the UK in May for a number of dates as part of their world tour. Read the full scoop here.
