Remember that surprising – yet nonetheless exciting – collaboration between iconic West Coast rapper Snoop Dogg and electronic producer Diplo we told you about back in March? Well, those smoke-filled studio sessions seem to have harvested some pretty interesting sounds, as the pair present the first sample of their upcoming album, Reincarnated.
Entitled “La La La”, this new track sees Diplo throw away his usual bass-driven wobbles for a mellow reggae rhythm, while Snoop accordingly trades in his standard verse structure for a series of elongated – and, of course, sedated – hooks. The beatsmith half did promise it would be “fucking awesome”, did he not?
