Stacy Barthe – “To Be Loved” | New Music

M. Gosho Oakes November 21, 2012 New Music, Soul/R&B/Alt Comments

“You make me remember who I am/ It’s easy to forget in a world where no one seems to be sure anymore…” Stacy Barthe celebrates with a smile so bright you can hear her sing with it as she breaths melodies over polished, euphoric pop-rock production by Oren Yoel on new song “To Be Loved.”

Having grafted as a songwriter penning pop numbers for the likes of Rihanna, Brandy and Britney Spears, Barthe stepped forward her own material on a distinctly soulful path with an EP titled Sincerely Yours, Stacy Barthe in 2011. Two further solo releases later – a Christmas project and The In-Between EP – with recent collaborators including Alicia Keys, Frank Ocean, Hit-Boy and John Legend, Stacy’s new EP P.S. I Love You is set for release through Motown Records on December 11th.

Take a listen to new track “To Be Loved” below and stay tuned for more on her upcoming project, with a full album anticipated in 2013.
