The Black Opera – ‘Opera Hands’ x ‘Teleport’ | New Music

As far as indie hip-hop labels go, Mello Music Group is definitely killing the game. With a roster that includes artists like Oddisee, Apollo Brown, yU and Diamond District, the label is now also home to The Black Opera.

With two rather impressive projects already in their discography, The Black Opera marks their new label signing with the release of two new songs.

The Tall Black Guy-produced “Opera Hands” opens with a sample of James Brown‘s classic “I Feel Good,” introducing a song encouraging people to shape their own reality.

“Teleport” speaks to the mystique of what The Black Opera really is. With hyped production from Audible Doctor, the song explores the idea of being in existence everywhere but not really existing at all.

Can’t wait to hear what else The Black Opera has in store with their home on Mello Music Group.

As an added bonus, click here to watch The Black Opera’s latest video demonstration, “Magician,” from their 2011 album EnterMission. This song has been a personal favorite of mine since I first heard the album a few months ago.
