Usually we face months of waiting between every new gift from The Bullitts, but following up on the sublime “World Inside Your Rainbow” which arrived six weeks ago, Jeymes Samuel returns in cinematic fashion. With the 23rd installment in the iconic James Bond franchise due for an explosive release this October, and with trailers currently circulating, Samuel’s has come down with a case of Skyfall fever, and the symptom seems to be musical inspiration.
Contrary to reports circulating the ‘net, this fittingly titled “Skyfall” track isn’t an official soundtrack cut, however believable it is. But considering how expertly The Bullitts have scored this cinematic anthem, I’m surprised they weren’t snapped up for the job from the jump.
You can stream “Skyfall” below, and watch an accompanying video after the jump, which couples “making of” footage of the song with scenes from the film. Do remember, The Bullitts’ They Die By Dawn and Other Short Stories album is due out September.
