After hitting us with his “Too Much Talk” freestyle on Tuesday (December 18th), MMG’s DC representative Wale doubles up for the week and lets go of a new track from upcoming mixtape Folarin.
The fresh new leak, titled “The Blessings,” sees Folarin go in over bouncy, upbeat production from DMV beatmaker LG (who’s signed to the rapper’s home group The Board Administration) and if his well-honed energy here is anything to go by, the forthcoming tape is going to be well worth a listen, or two. Sometimes I find Wale’s delivery frustrating, but here he just delivers, and shows some gratitude to the Gods of hip hop for good measure, rapping “God bless that man with Ambition!” like a true God-fearing citizen.
