Wu-Block f/ Erykah Badu – “Drivin’ Round” | New Music

Michell C. Clark November 25, 2012 Hip Hop, Music, New Music Comments

In preparation for a collaborative album of historic proportions the newly formed Wu-Block, composed of members of the Wu-Tang Clan and D-Block collectives, releases their latest single, the Termanology-produced “Drivin’ Round,” featuring a hook from the legendary Ms. Erykah Badu.

This track is more laid back than is typical for either one of these collectives but proves to be an entertaining, cultured listen as Sheek Louch, Masta Killa and GZA‘s storytelling abilities are on full display, whilst Erykah’s distinctly cultured voice proves to be the perfect fit for the slow, winding chorus.

It’s a shame that the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard couldn’t be around for the actualization of this project, but it still boasts a potent lineup in his memory. The full album will release on November 27th.
