Young Jeezy – “We Done It Again” | New Music

Sam Gould November 7, 2012 Hip Hop, Music, New Music Comments

Four years ago Jeezy brought us “My President Is Black” to celebrate Barack Obama‘s election to the presidency; now he’s back to commemorate his re-election with “We Done It Again“, a heartfelt address to the nation that has a strong message at its core.

Jeezy shows that he’s well aware of the struggles which black communities continue to face across America and refuses to shy away from them. He feels the pain of those living in urban poverty, as well as those who have suffered unjustly- whether that be Trayvon Martin, or the neglected victims of Hurricane Katrina, or even just another laid-off worker in Detroit. Nonetheless, his gravelly raps, for “every ghetto in the world” show that he’s determined that his President and the people will succeed in changing their world for the better.
