Q-Tip talks new album ‘The Last Zulu’, working with Busta Rhymes [Video]

Iconic emcee Q-Tip promises to bring “boom bap, unrelenting, lyrical, thoughtful, edgy” music with his upcoming album, The Last Zulu.

Many were disappointed that the former A Tribe Called Quest frontman was not included on G.O.O.D. Music‘s recently released collaborative album, Cruel Summer, despite his recent signing to the label. In a recent interview with VIBE TV, Q-Tip notes the mutual respect he and Kanye West have for each other, but hints that the production on the album will be largely his own.

The interview goes on to discuss a song that Tip and Busta Rhymes recently worked on together, called “I Wanna Thank Ya.” These two artists have been a part of some incredible records together over the years, including A Tribe Called Quest’s 1992 classic “Scenario.” If Q-tip’s subtle hints are any indication, this record will certainly be one to watch for.
