Raekwon freestyles over The Notorious B.I.G’s “Who Shot Ya” | New Music

Raekwon continues to warm up for his Lost Jewelry EP with a freestyle over the instrumental to Biggie‘s ’95 classic, the controversial “Who Shot Ya“

I’ve no idea whether the Wu-Tang emcee has covered the track before, but it’s a pleasure to hear an East Coast OG drop some bars over a beat made famous by Brooklyn’s long lost king, and as usual, The Chef doesn’t disappoint. Moving over those chilling piano keys with sure-footed ease, he kills it with his vivid wordplay, floating into the hood in a hot air balloon and painting it with animal imagery, saying he might have to call his next album “The Wild” to reflect the concrete jungle he’s lived in.
