Following the immediate grief surrounding the death of Don Cornelius on February 1st, hundreds of fans pulled together to honor his life by celebrating in the middle on New York with a flash mob.
As the creator of tv phenomenon Soul Train, fans decided that a fitting tribute would be to recreate the famous ‘Soul Train lines’ by taking it in turns to each show off their moves down a line, decked out in ’70s bell bottom trousers and giant afros with boom boxes in tow for nostalgia.
The dancers, along with keen passers by and tourists, all joined in the fun, taking over broadway for 45 minutes before being moved on.
