Omarion may not be Maybach Music‘s latest signing anymore, not since young Chicagoan emcee Rockie Fresh joined the roster this month, but the empire’s go-to R&B man remains at the centre of attention.
Sitting down with Rap-Up TV, the former B2K frontman spoke on what it’s like being a part of the MMG family, detailed his “Maybach O” alter ego (“It’s a name that I adopted coming in thinking about the concepts of the records, listening to Meek Mill and Wale and Rozay, and just everyone really adopting the family name, and I just wanted to take on a real special name,” he said) and shed some light on his upcoming album. Apparently he’s 20-30 songs deep right now, and has some “classics” for us all.
Omarion also showed his support for fellow R&B artist Frank Ocean in regards to his recent coming out. “Anyone that has something they need to get off their chest, I respect,” he said.
