Odd Future DJ/producer/engineer Syd tha Kid, arguably the quietest of the California bred collective, is the subject of a new documentary by filmaker Lance Bangs. The film, Syd tha Kid by Lance Bangs, offers an intimate glimpse into the life of the musician following the beatsmith while she mans the 1s and 2s for her OFWGKTA brethren during their no holds barred, mosh pit causing performances.
During the film, the openly homosexual producer discusses how she became a member of the Wolf Gang, her relationship with the group, her personal feeling towards the use of the word “Faggot” by members of Odd Future and origin of some of the group’s now revered recordings and her group The Internet‘s debut body of work Purple Naked Ladies and much more.
