A splendid seasonal treat from one of my favourite unsigned artists, Airto Edmundo. He takes on the mighty Nat King Cole, possibly one of the best voices of the 20th century, and doesn’t he do a good job? I do not exaggerate when I say stumbling across this extremely talented young Dutchman and his formidable knack for covering a song as if it was written with him in mind, is a solid enough argument for why Youtube is one of the best by-products of the internet age.
Airto also does a very worthy cover of Donny Hathaway’s This Christmas. Enjoy.
