Thelonious Martin – ‘Colors’ [Instrumentals] | Album Stream

Andy Bustard April 28, 2012 Album Streams, Hip Hop, Instrumental, Music Comments

Chicago-based producer Thelonious Martin, who’s gained notable credits this year in the form of MellowHigh‘s “Go” and Hodgy Beats‘ solo cut “Ave“, presents his latest instrumental album, Colors. The project – his fourth this year – aligns his rich, vibrant and sensual sounds with “vibes” of different colors, in the same way synaesthesia works.

For instance, track number two “Blue” reverberates with a calm and mellow atmposhphere, whereas “Purp” is set in a much more erratic and animated soundscape. It’s this musical aptness that will lead Thelonious Martin into much greater sounds and much bigger collaborations in months to come.

Stream in full below and cop the album for whatever price you please (try to aim higher than £1, though!).
