Unreleased Beastie Boys performance of “The New Style” on Chappelle’s Show [Video]

Among the tributes and messages pouring in for Beastie Boys‘ Adam “MCA” Yauch, who tragically passed away on Friday aged 47 following a three year battle with cancer, Neal Brennan, co-creator of Chappelle’s Show, tweeted out this goodie. The clip is of an unreleased performance of the Beasties’ Licensed to Ill cut, “The New Style”, with Dave Chappelle in 2004. The footage was originally recorded for the cancelled third season of his comedy sketch show.

Having been sampled by the likes of J Dilla and OutKast, it’s easy to call “The New Style” one of the Beastie Boys’ best.

R.I.P. MCA.
