TV One closes the latest season of their celebrated documentary series Unsung with a look at the life, career and death of the legendary Gerald Levert.
From his beginnings as a youngster watching his father Eddie rise to fame with the O’Jays, to forming the duo Levert with his brother Sean, to his ascension up the R&B ranks as a soloist and with the group LSG and, ultimately, his untimely death in 2006, Gerald’s entire story is chronicled with a level of detail and care that only Unsung can provide. With real, behind-the-scenes stories from friends, family and Gerald himself, this episode ends the season on yet another highly informative note.
