For the second week in a row, UK Grime pioneer Wiley‘s latest mainstream look “Heatwave” will sit at the summit of the UK Singles Charts.
Last week the Rymez and Ms D featured track gave the East London native his first solo number (achieving UK Gold status), a feat Wiley had spent the large part of the last 10 years trying to achieve. In total Wiley has spent six weeks at the top of the UK singles charts via “Green Light” and “Good Times” with his Roll Deep family, and now in his own right with “Heatwave.”
Elsewhere in the charts… after slipping one place to 21 last week, British R&B saviour Angel’s fans showed out for him pushing his single ”Wonderful” up seven places to number 12. Meanwhile Chris Brown‘s “Don’t Wake Me Up” slips seven places down to 15, Nicki Minaj’s “Pound The Alarm” moves up three places to number eight. Dizzee Rascal‘s 2012 London Olympic anthem “Scream” featuring his artist Pepper debuts at 22.
