Tolita, great review of a fantastic album (LOL we agree on something at last ;))

I agree with just about everything you said here, Eska's appearances were definitely the highlights for me, however it was great to see Terri Walker making an appearance and the inclusion of Lynden David Hall definitely upped the 'wow' factor.

Definitely one of the highlights of '09!

Now, i don't who Randy Crawford or Patti Austen are, but i do know i really enjoyed this album. It is just a beautiful composition. The perfect vocals for each track interwoven with excellent instrumentation. What i enjoyed the most about 'Speak' is the refreshingly light hearted tone throughout; like all the musicians and vocalist are enjoying themselves in the studio and having fun! i'm in agreement with the reviewer in saying 'Altar Call' is the standout track on an exceptional project. Great review Tolita, put what i felt when listening into words!
