H&M Lookbook: Men’s/Women’s Autumn/Winter Collections 2012 [Video]

It’s that time of year again when we get to see previews of fashion’s Autumn/Winter collections, but if you’re bored of seeing lookbooks in print that offer you only one dimension to the outfit then H&M has solved your problem. They’ve taken a more modern approach that lies somewhere inbetween a lookbook and a runway with a viral video of the collections.

WOMENSWEAR.

The female collection is modeled by Ava Smith, who carries both the casual and the formal looks with an air of sass, from the tailored shorts and shirts to the glamorous studded gold and black dresses.

Casual items like the chunky knit cardigan have gone oversized this year and will be a key item to transition between Summer and Winter. Accessories include bags and studded caps as well as a peplum belt that can update any outfit immediately.

MENSWEAR.

And now for the men’s collection. While the women’s offers more casual items, for the guys H&M has gone all formal with shirts, full suits and tweed, and many jacket options including coats with contrasting collars to make you stand out from the crowd.

Adding to the moss green colour palette which can be seen in both the men’s and women’s collections, other options include red suits and jackets or silver metallic jeans if you’re brave enough. If not then you can just opt for the super casual grey hoodie or black beanie hat.
