Presenting SoulCulture.TV‘s new series: The Co-Sign.
Pairing up talented artists in mutual nods of appreciation with exclusive live sessions performed for SoulCulture TV, Episode 1 launches with North London rapper Wretch 32 and soulful Mancunian singer Daley giving an exclusive acoustic performance of their reflective collaboration “Long Way Home,” from Wretch 32′s brand new album Black and White – released on August 21 via Ministry Of Sound/Levels Ent.
Having made a name for himself on the grime scene, Tottenham hailing lyricist Wretch 32 made his mark on the mainstream this year with hit singles “Traktor” and “Unorthodox,” featuring Example, plus his catchy new single “Don’t Go” featuring Josh Kumra. But it’s not about numbers – it’s his real-life, relate-able lyrics and subtle wordplay which earn Wretch a warm spot in our hearts; and his performance on “Long Way Home” is another great example of this.
Another emerging UK talent, Manchester hailing singer/songwriter Daley caught ears worldwide last year commanding the lead vocals on Gorillaz single “Doncamatic,” co-written with Damon Albarn. Following up with a string of enticing acoustic performances and buzz tracks, he stole our hearts with his mixtape Those Who Wait; a solid 10-track display of his songwriting and vocal ability, also featuring a stunning duet with former Floetry songstress Marsha Ambrosius.
